Tasha's story This is Tasha ( on the right), previously known to us as Ashley at Noah's Ark. ( on the left is Sierra who also used to be at Noah's Ark.) Tasha was rescued by animal welfare in summer 09 when she was found with her head trapped between two bricks at the barracks at Ghajn Tuffieha. Happily Tasha was homed in December 09 to one of our volunteer's Darren and his family. ( Darren and his son walk and train the dogs at the sanctuary.)He recently sent us this picture and update: " Tasha, at first was a little timid especially around men, since we have overcome this problem she is responding well and at last has started to play with us. She is very intelligent and has taken to basic commands very well. She is social around other dogs and more suprisingly around people. even strangers now are welcomed." Sierra has also been succesfully been rehomed to friend of Darren's -so good news all round!
Malta 2010 - As you can see from these happy pictures, Baggi , one of our long term residents at Noah's Ark( left )and Guru [right) were recently successfully homed here in Malta.
Malta 2010 - This is picture of Zac the puppy sent by new owners Rachel and James. He has encouraged their previously well behaved Samoyed, Chakra to be naughty!
Dogs re-homed to Germany in 2009We have developed a good working relationship with various animal welfare organisations in Germany and have successfully re homed many dogs there ( see link page for information on these organisations.)Pat, who coordinates the re homing in Germany regularly receives photos and letters telling us of their progress. People there certainly seem to love Noah's Ark dogs! Here are some of the dogs who have gone to Germany so far in 2009.Kevin the poodle ( Now called Timmy) certainly looks very laid back in his new home! Roger and Chloe looked happy to be out of their travelling boxes and to have a good run around when they arrived in Germany.
Gino (previously Vino) On the leftHas surprised us all and become a super obedient star of an outdoor pursuits organisation, after being a real cheeky monkey when he was with us!Speedo lived up to his name after being whisked off to a new home in Germany after only a few weeks with us at Noah's Ark.
And last but not least the gorgeus white male German Shepherd Bianco who we all loved! Seen here blending into the landscape perfectly. What a poser!
